#1 Call the Legislative Message Line AGAIN Tuesday 1-800-372-7181 and leave this encouraging message with the secretary “for all the legislators in my county and to House and Senate Leadership.” (The operator will know who all these are. The two Leadership teams are important)
Husbands and wives should BOTH call. Call Tuesday Morning, if possible. The Message Line is open tomorrow from 7:00 AM EST until 6:00 PM EST. The Session ends on Tuesday (March 26), probably late in the evening.
#2 Come to a solemn assembly held in the Capitol Rotunda tomorrow, Tuesday, March 26 at 11:00. Several leaders of Kentucky’s churches will share. You taking the time will give real encouragement to legislators who voted for HB 279 and who now must attempt to override the veto in the midst of huge pressure. They need your help! (Note: If the Governor’s veto is overridden late Monday night, this gathering is cancelled.)
#3 CLICK here now to send a message to your KY legislators and also to Gov Beshear.
#4 PRAY for the success of KY House Bill 279 and for traditional marriage to be upheld as the law of the land in the Supreme Court cases.
Sen. Rand Paul spoke out on the Religious Liberty: “Religious liberty is a fundamental American right. This right does not divide us. It unites us as Americans and human beings. House Bill 279 is consistent with the protections of the First Amendment and is a reasonable and straightforward standard for the Kentucky General Assembly to adopt. The intent of the legislation is not to promote discrimination or impede individual rights, but rather to prevent the government from forcing Kentuckians to participate in activity that violates their faith. I urge the General Assembly to override Gov. Beshear’s veto.”

We have only one day left! We know if Kentucky House Bill 279 – The Religious Freedom Restoration Act – is heard on the floor of the House, it will pass!
The House Democrat Caucus voted last night 27 to 26 to allow an override vote today. This is GOOD, but legislators still need our support now!
Therefore, please:
1) Call and get others calling
2) Come to the solemn gathering at the Capitol tomorrow at 11:00 am.
3) Click on the take action link at the bottom of the page to send an
email to your state legislators and also to Gov Beshear expressing your
disappointment with his veto of HB 279.
4) Pray for the success of this bill.
